Why did Precision Technology Group acquire NuPoint?
NuPoint has built a strong position supporting growers in viticulture and horticulture which complements Precision Farmin's pastoral platform. Bringing the businesses together allows the group to support a wider range of growers, farmers & contractors while strengthening the technology and capability behind both platforms.
I am a NuPoint customer — what impact does this have on me?
There is no immediate change to your service, support, invoicing, or contracts. Your existing relationships remain in place. Over time, you’ll gain access to a broader range of technology integrations and our offering will continue to develop.
I am a Precision Farming customer — what impact does this have on me?
There is no immediate change to your service, support, invoicing, or contracts. Your existing relationships remain in place.
Who do I call if I need support?
Continue contacting your usual NuPoint representative or call our 0800 support number.
I use Trimble, Topcon or John Deere — how can I connect these?
This partnership will deliver expanded capability across these platforms and intergration opportunity. We’d welcome a conversation about your current setup and how we can optimise or integrate your systems further.
What will change with my invoicing?
Nothing initially. Your invoicing entity and bank details remain unchanged.
What about contracts?
Existing contracts and arrangements remain in place. Over the coming months, we may review agreements to ensure we’re delivering the best possible service experience.
Will our pricing remain the same?
There are no immediate changes to pricing as a result of this merger. Over time, we may review pricing as part of bringing the businesses together and continuing to develop our offering. Any changes would be communicated well in advance.
Will the NuPoint or Precision Farming platforms change?
Both platforms will continue to operate as they do today. Over time, we will look for opportunities to strengthen functionality and integrations that benefit customers across both systems.
Will NuPoint continue as its own platform?
Yes. NuPoint will continue to operate as its own platform and brand. Our focus is on strengthening the technology and support behind the platform and continuing to support customers in viticulture and horticulture. Over time, we may explore opportunities to further align capabilities across the group as the platforms evolve.
Will the NuPoint team change?
The NuPoint team remains in place and continues to support customers as they do today. The benefit of joining the wider group is that the team now has access to additional technical expertise and support capability.
Will the platform continue to be developed?
Yes. Both platforms will continue to be developed and supported. The goal of bringing the businesses together is to strengthen the technology and expand capabilities that benefit customers.
Will support hours or service levels change?
No. Support processes and service levels remain unchanged; but supported by a broader team.
